My Workshop Approach
Practice-Driven Pedagogy
I root my instruction in real-world classroom experience, drawing from current, evidence-based practices that bridge the gap between theory and the realities of teaching. For in-service educators, this means professional development that’s relevant, practical, and immediately applicable. I honor teachers as experts in their own right—meeting them where they are and supporting their continued growth with tools that reflect the evolving needs of inclusive, diverse early childhood and special education settings. My goal is to create collaborative, affirming spaces where educators feel empowered to reflect, adapt, and thrive in their practice.
Reflective and Equity-Centered Teaching
I support in-service teachers in engaging in meaningful reflection on their identities, biases, and beliefs as they continue to shape their teaching voice and philosophy. My approach centers the development of justice-oriented classrooms that value every child’s lived experience, honor neurodiversity, and celebrate cultural identity. Through this lens, we work together to build inclusive, responsive environments where all children can thrive—and where educators feel confident leading with equity, empathy, and purpose.
Active, Process-Based Learning
I model and guide hands-on, inquiry-driven learning that centers collaboration—with colleagues, families, and communities—as a key to effective teaching. Whether we’re unpacking co-teaching frameworks, building inclusive curriculum, or trying out strategies that can be immediately applied in the classroom, I support in-service teachers in expanding their practice. My approach is practical and reflective, equipping educators with tools to design responsive, child-centered learning environments that meet the diverse needs of today’s students.
